Aberystwyth Supercar - Vintage - Classic Motor Club
A NEW CLUB FOR LIKE MINDED ENTHUSIASTS
In Britain we live in a democracy, to an extent we have freedom to choose what we do. However, the recent Covid-19 pandemic has changed the whole world as we know it. We have learnt how to identify and cope with this unprecedented virus. Life is slowly adjusting to a new way of doing everything. Society is changing, with people now working from home more frequently than in their offices. Service clubs such as Rotary, The WI, Golf Clubs and Sports Centres all had to close.
However, clubs are now reopening, and members are returning but usually to a different format. Motorcars are changing to electric power with Hydrogen powered cars on the horizon as new technology proceeds. History is repeating itself again as in 1900’s the motorcar replaced the horse drawn carriage. Electric powered vehicles are replacing combustion engines in the 2020’s with the government and manufacturers actively onboard. Therefore, now is the time that some older cars over the last 120 years are preserved as history of our motoring past.
Many people have taken up the challenge as their hobby to maintain an old, cherished car with history. A whole multi-million-pound industry has evolved in restoring classic cars by producing replacement parts, trimming specialists or even chrome plating. To restore any marque all over the country.
So, looking to the future, Aberystwyth had no focal club for classic car enthusiasts to meet. Therefore, Aberystwyth Supercar Vintage and Classic Motor Club has been formed for likeminded enthusiasts.
